Gavin Schilling

Gavin Schilling was born in Germany and raised in France before moving to the United States in 2003.

Gavin Schilling played at four different places before attending MSU, playing for Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill. as a freshman. He then spent his sophomore year at an elite German basketball academy called Urspring, attended and played for Chicago's De La Salle Institute as a junior and as a senior played for Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev.

Appeared in all but one of MSU’s games as a freshman and started in one game, averaging just 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds. As a sophomore played in all 39 of MSU’s games, starting 33 games and averaging 5.1 points and 3.8 rebounds.

Sat out the first 11 games of his junior season because of turf toe he suffered in a preseason game against Ferris State University. Schilling has averages of 3.9 points and 3.2 rebounds this season since returning, and has season-highs of 13 points and eight rebounds.
